Boy, these four years sure did fly by. There's been growth and struggle over the past year as we transition from baby stuff to being and behaving like a big boy. Fletcher is a determined little boy, one that is not easily fooled, has a memory of an elephant and stubborn as an ox. In all that, we ALL continue to grow and learn...

Transformers are Fletcher's favorite.
So, it was fitting to have his party tied to them.

The loot!

As Fletcher goes through a mood change,
the older cousins look on patiently...
for him to snap out of it!

Aidan peeking around the corner.

Fletcher celebrates is birthday
with ALL his cousins. What a treat!

Cousin Maggie -- jump, jump, jumping at Pump It Up.

Mommy & lil Ebes. Eben is has the
same mannerism and temperment
that Fletcher had at that age.

Like brothers -- Fletcher and Elijah.

Aunt Jeana, Cousin Trae and Mommy.

Mommy, my aunts and cousins. Family is always at my house.

Happy 4th Birthday, Fletcher!

Thanksgiving 2009 -- The Westphal men working with the meat on Thanksgiving.
The deep fried duck was a good idea in concept, but not in reality!

It has become a tradition to celebrate Jeana's & Chris's birthday on Thanksgiving.

Fletcher has been taking swimming lessons for a few months now. He is not afraid of the water, he can swim a few feet solo and gets better each and every day. We hope my the next pool season, he'll be swimming.

Fletcher is still a rough and tough boy, but he definitely has a nurturing side to him. He takes good care of his pets. Gorilla is one of his favorites. We'd like to get rid of some of these animals, but unfortunately, he knows every single on that he has.

Since Daddy travels a lot, Fletcher is familiar with a map. We try to help him understand where Daddy is when he's gone or where Daddy's been.
Sometimes he'll come up to Mommy and ask, "Mommy, show me where Daddy is on this world." It is cute.

Fletcher loves books and loves to be read to. He get at least 3 books a night read to him. Most recently, he attention span has increased and we are able to read him books with chapters which is nice.

A beautiful Fall sunset from our terrace.
