First Ouchie – Fletcher was outside on the front porch running around without any shoes on (sounds like the Leesburg Hillbillies) and he fell and skinned his knee… Upon getting up, he fell again on the next step and re-skinned the same knee. A few kisses later, everything was fine.

Fletcher also got to see some farm animals – pigs, chickens, cows, sheep, turkeys, and even a peacock. He also got to pet another “kitty” which he has learned to say quite well. Almost any animal he sees is a “kitty” –

Fletcher got his first tricycle – he is still adapting to it – getting to learn where to put his feet, putting things in the basket, and ringing the bell (more on that in future blogs). So, if you are in the neighborhood, you may get a glimpse of Fletcher out on a stroll on his 3 wheel machine… Hopefully, he will learn to steer soon ---

15 months and we all are growing...

Fletcher's growth since he was born has been off the charts and when I took him for his 15 month doctor's visit yesterday his size and weight was cause for three different weighings to ensure his weight was correct and it was -- 37lbs and 36.5inches in height which is why we had to upgrade Fletcher to a whole new wardrobe of 3T/4T clothing and size 9 shoes. According to the doctor, Fletcher is progressing well and is an exceptionally healthy little boy.

Mommy loves this stage that Fletcher's in... He is very interactive, intuitive, and yet he still has all his brutus qualities and challenges the finish on our hardwood floors each day. I enjoy my outings with Fletcher and helping him to explore his new world, I enjoy it when looks to me for encouragement and affirmation, I enjoy it when I feel those little hands of his when he comes up behind me to get my attention, I enjoy it when he comes to my desk when I'm working away to turn my knees toward him so that he can climb into my lap for some "love," I enjoy his growth and I also enjoy where I am in this journey of motherhood. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else... I love this little boy!
